Let's begin with the exterior. It's had a major overhaul, featuring a frame that is wider, longer, and taller than previous models. The wheelbase is also longer than previous-generation models. The all-new 2022 Hyundai Tucson is available in 4 different trim levels, with 8 possible configurations. The two variants in each trim level are the front-wheel or all-wheel-drive configurations. Under the hood, all models come with the same engine package. They feature a 187-horsepower, 2.5liter I-4 (regular gas) engine with 8-speed automatic transmission. Combined MPG clocks in at 29 for the front-wheel drive and 26 for the all-wheel-drive versions at all trim levels. 

Safety features that come as standard include the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection. Radar and cameras are constantly monitoring the road ahead. If it senses a collision ahead, it'll apply the brakes and alert the driver. All trim levels come with these great safety features:

These features can also be disabled if desired. 

The SE is the base level of trim but comes with plenty of high-end features, building on the quality feel developed in previous models. Interiors come in a choice of black or gray stain-resistant cloth, and there are 9 color choices for the exterior. Seats come with 6-way manual adjustments. The infotainment system builds on Hyundai's concept of 'Sensuous Sportiness' first unveiled in their 2020 models. The climate control interface is touch-sensitive, and the SE features an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment display.  

From the SE level up, Hyundai is determined you'll be connected and entertained on the move. As standard, all trim levels feature Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and HD Radio. The dual front USB ports are useful for charging on the go. The gear shift has gone, replaced by four buttons - Park, Reverse, Neutral, and Drive. The SEL is the mid-range trim level and comes with the option of leather seats. These come with the added benefit of 8-way power adjustments. Additional extras include:

The infotainment system gets an upgrade, with a 10.25-inch touchscreen rather than the standard 8-inch. Extra perks include SiriusXM and Bluelink. Bluelink is a piece of proprietary software Hyundai has developed to keep you in touch with your car wherever you are. It allows you to check the fuel level via an app. You can control your navigation and entertainment systems on the go by voice. It can even help you remember where you parked your car.  

If you've ever panicked that you haven't locked the car and rushed back to check, Bluelink eliminates that. All you need to do is check the app, and you can even lock it remotely. Driver assistance is also taken to a new level with smart cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. Smart cruise control is the latest generation of cruise control technology. It can fluctuate your speed, maintaining a preset distance from the vehicle in front. It won't exceed the upper speed limit that you have set. 

Cross-traffic alert helps keep you safe when reversing. It can sense and warn about oncoming vehicles up to 65 feet away. Blind-spot monitoring uses radar on the rear corners of the vehicle in combination with a forward-facing video. This gives it an awareness of what's going on around you on the road. If it senses that a collision is likely, in 'Active' mode it will sound a warning and apply the brakes.  

The top-spec Limited trim level brings in not just leather seats as standard, but even the steering wheel gets the leather treatment. The luxury continues with heated and ventilated front seats. The infotainment system gets a welcome upgrade with wireless charging and a top-of-the-line Bose eight-speaker sound system. Onboard navigation and real-time traffic updates also come as standard on the Limited trim and above. Safety and driver-assist technology get an upgrade with additional front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and smart parking assistant. Additional cameras provide a 360 view around the vehicle.
