The 2021 Hyundai Tucson features the perfect blend of sporty yet practical. Previous trim levels carry over to the 2021 release, but there are some serious design improvements. The most notable being the upgrades to the exterior build and color pallet. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine comes standard in the SE and Value trim levels, while the SEL and up come with the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine.   

This SUV caters more to city streets rather than off-roading, and it's reflected in its mileage and ride. Expect around 23/28 miles per gallon with FWD, and 22/25 with AWD on the 2.0-liter engine. The 2.4-liter performs a bit better with 22/28 miles per gallon with FWD, and 21/26 with AWD.  While there's no turbo-charged engine, the Tucson offers a smooth ride and the perfect balance between sporty and effortless.  

What's unique about this model is how Hyundai has gone about designing its exterior. Using algorithms and parametric dynamics to create a more emotive aspect of their cars. There's also been a few changes to the colors. Black Noir Pearl is now Ash black, Gemstone Red is now Red Crimson, and Sage Brown is now Coliseum Gray. They also introduced Winter White, White Cream, Stellar Silver, Dusk Blue, Aqua Blue, and Magnetic Force Metallic. All colors are cost inclusive, so no matter what trim level, all colors are available. 

Shining its brightest, the 2021 Hyundai Tucson interior is undoubtedly the model's high point. Unbeatable interior design that's ergonomic and spacious. Cloth upholstery is standard, or leather for the Limited and Ultimate trim levels. Seamless molding of the infotainment center into the dash. The gorgeous 7-inch infotainment center offers full smartphone integration for apple and android phones. This five-seater vehicle boasts an impressive 38.2 inches of legroom in the rear and 41.5 inches for the front. Tucson's interior comes with a dual-color tone that changes based on what exterior color you choose. SE, Value, SEL, and Sports offer black, beige, or gray. Limited and Ultimate have black or beige. 

The 2021 Hyundai Tucson is a family favorite, and there's a good reason. It boasts amazing safety standards, raking in a 5-star rating from NHTSA and an exceptional rating from IIHS. All trim levels come with LED headlights, which rated the safest option in 2020. From SE onwards there is a driver-attention warning system, forward collision avoidance, lane-keep assist, and a rearview camera. 

They include more safety enhancements as the levels progress. Including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a 360-degree camera. To top it off, we also have adaptive cruise control and stop and go functionality at the Ultimate level. Every trim level has 6 airbags and essentials such as ABS, stability and tractions control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

The SE is the entry-level car for this model. Accompanied with all the high-tech specs like the 7-inch infotainment touch screen, six-way seat power-adjustability, and automatic projected LED headlights. It also has manual air conditioning and a six-speaker audio layout. SE includes all key safety details: driver-attention warning system, forward collision avoidance, lane-keep assist, and a rearview camera. 

Remarkably similar to the SE, except for a few additions. The Value level introduces blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and keyless ignition. The steering wheel gets an upgrade with tilt and telescoping capabilities. The six-way power-adjustability moves up to an eight-way power-adjustability. Front seats get seat heating.  

This mid-range level comes with performance, interior, and exterior upgrades. SEL level has dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, and USB ports for the back seats. The engine size increases to a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and wheel size increases to 18 inches. The exterior paint job now includes silver accents for a more polished look.  

Keeping close to the SEL exterior, the only addition being 19-inch wheels, instead of 18. The interior, however, takes a more dramatic shift. The steering wheel gets another upgrade coming in a leather-wrapped fashion. Sports trim level comes with a shifter, hands-free power liftgate, and boosts its music system to an 8-speaker infinity surround sound system. 

Reaching the top tiers of the model, the enhancements work as luxury add-ons. For instance, Limited introduces a heated steering wheel, power-adjustability for the passenger seat, and a 360-degree camera.  

The highest trim level, Ultimate, is the most luxurious version of this model. Along with everything listed before, the Ultimate also has front seat ventilation, a wireless phone charger, an 8-inch infotainment screen, built-in navigation, and finally a panoramic sunroof.
