When you walk up to the vehicle, the car will authenticate the key to provide you with instant access. All this is done without ever having to take the FOB out of your bag or pocket.
Once you get inside the cabin of the Sonata, that keyless technology can be used to start the engine. Instead of a traditional ignition system, you can get the Sonata with push-button start. Simply place your foot on the brake pedal and push the ignition button. As long as the FOB is in the car with you, the engine will start.
